15 February Parinirvana Day -  Commemorates the Buddha's death and also the death of relatives and friends 
5 April FWBO Day - to celebrate our Buddhist Movement
31 May Buddha Day - Buddha's enlightenment
26 July Dharma Day - the teachings
20 September Padmasambhava Day - Tibetan guru - historical & mythological
22 November Sangha Day - celebrates the spiritual community

                             

 

Open Nights

 

Everyone, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners, is welcome to join us! Meditation instruction is available for newcomers. The programme varies from week to week but can include talks on Buddhism, discussion groups, meditation and rituals. 

 

Every Monday 7:00pm to 9:30pm - From 1 February through to 13 December 
On these evenings,  there are a variety of activities such as; 
talks on Buddhism,
discussions
meditation instruction
meditation and ritual

These evenings are ideal as a first contact and for providing a continuing support for regular practice

 

Donation / Danas

The event leaders at the WBC give their time freely in accordance with the Buddhist Principle of dana or generosity. However, we do have overheads to cover so entry to most of our events is by suggested donation. If you can afford to give more please do.
